No. The anonymous trial works immediately, and a guest can join a private room link without installing an app.

Does Tolkivo record conversations?+

Tolkivo relays microphone audio while the session is live and does not save raw audio. Transcript storage is off in this launch version.

Can I use one phone?+

Yes. Shared-phone mode translates one speaker direction at a time; tap the switch button when the other person replies.

What powers the live translation?+

Tolkivo uses OpenAI’s dedicated gpt-realtime-translate speech-to-speech model through a metered server proxy.
